Van Diest Medical Center is now accepting nominations for the 2026 DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses.

At VDMC, extraordinary nursing is often found in the quiet, meaningful moments, when a nurse takes extra time with both clinical expertise and genuine compassion.

“These small acts of care don’t feel small to the people who receive them,” said Lisa Ridge, RN, MSN, CEO of Van Diest Medical Center.

The DAISY Award is part of a nationwide program. VDMC will honor the nominated nurses on Wednesday, May 6, which is National Nurses Day.
