Coffee & Create continues at Legacy Learning

Coffee & Create is an ongoing community art space at Legacy Learning Boone River Valley — a welcoming place to gather, create, relax, and connect. This is held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday at 719 Seneca St. Stop in for coffee, conversation, and creativity anytime during open hours. Bring a project you’re working on, try something simple and creative, or just enjoy being around others in a peaceful, encouraging environment. No experience needed. No registration required. A freewill donation is the only fee.

Sip & Paint: Spring Flowers — BYOB Legacy Learning Boone River Valley will celebrate spring with a relaxing evening of painting, creativity, and community from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. A beautiful spring flower painting will be completed in a welcoming, no-pressure atmosphere — perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike. Blood Drive set for Thursday

Webster City Community Blood drive is scheduled for 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Van Diest Medical Center Clinic Board Room, 2350 Hospital Drive. Appointments are encouraged by calling 800-287-4903, but walk-ins are welcome. All blood donors will receive a Scooters cookie and a 20% coupon for the hospital gift shop.

Cub Scout Pack 583 and Troop 17 Open House on Thursday

An open house will be held on Thursday by Cub Scout Pack 583 and Troop 17. The event, which will showcase what types of things the scouts do, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at West Twin Park, 1100 Superior St. Information on joining any of the scouting organizations will be available. Women’s Club meets today

The next meeting of the Webster City Women’s Club will be today at 1:30 p.m. at the Jane Young House. The meeting and program will be held at 629 Elm St. The greeter will be Jan Reinhardt, and refreshments will be served by JoAnn Robb, Jana Reints, Jean Biggins and Jean Youngdale. The program presentation is Webster City’s newest theatrical troupe, the “Over the Speed Limit Players.” This will be presented by Loween Getter. Any woman in Hamilton County is welcome to attend.
