Hamilton County Veteran Affairs office closed next week
The Hamilton County Veteran Affairs office will be closed from June 1 through June 5 while the staff is undergoing training.
Hamilton County Supervisors meet today at 9 a.m.
The regular meeting of the Hamilton County supervisors will be held at 9 a.m. at the Hamilton County courthouse. The meeting will be held in the basement meeting room located at 2300 Superior St. On the agenda is the public hearing for the fiscal year 2026 budget amendment, and resolutions approving them.
Cops and Bobbers fishing derby is Saturday
The Hamilton County Law Enforcement officers are sponsoring a Cops and Bobbers fishing event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. This will be held at the small beach shelter at Briggs Woods Park, located at 2490 Briggs Woods Trail. The event is free and residents do not need a fishing license, since it is being held during the Iowa DNR free fishing weekend. The program is designed for kids ages 3-14 years of age, but adults can fish with their kids. Prizes will be given only to kids between those ages. Jam session set for Friday night
BLAIRSBURG —The Blairsburg Opera House Jam session will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at the opera house. Musicians, dancers and listeners are invited to attend.
Summer Reading program begins next week at Kendall Young Library
Kendall Young Library will be celebrating the coming of summer with a Family Summer Kickoff Party on the lawn. Participants may gather for live music and food from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 31. Wilson Brewer Park museum open this weekend
The Depot museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. today and Saturday. The Depot is located within the Wilson Brewer Park, at 220 Ohio St. Historic collections about Webster City are on display throughout the building.
