American Legion Post 191 will conduct flag disposal service on Friday
The American Legion Post 191 will conduct a ceremonial retirement of unserviceable U.S. flags at 4 p.m. Friday. Flags may be brought to the American Legion at 726 Second St., Webster City, today, or to the ceremony site by 3:30 p.m. on Friday. This event is held annually as part of the observance for Flag Day. This dignified event will take place in the north alley of the 700 block of Second Street, adjacent to Pagel Glass.

First Congregational Church United Church of Christ invites the community to its annual Brownie Sundae Drive-Thru, to be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at 1000 Willson Ave. Freewill donations for the sundaes will benefit local food pantries. Here’s how it works: Going north on Willson Avenue, stop at the west entrance to the church. An attendant will come to the vehicle to take your order and receive your donation.
