Women’s Club installs officers

The Webster City Women’s Club held their Annual Meeting with a potluck on Monday evening, Nov. 11 to install new officers, honor members who passed away, and observe Veterans Day.

New officers, top photo, are President Mary Ann Erickson, Vice President Jolene Hibbing, Secretary LoEda Paine, Treasurer Sue Naden, Historian Darlene Dingman, and Publicity Esther Lehman.

The program consisted of memories that two area women experienced in the military almost 50 years apart, was given by Laurel Palmer, a Marine veteran and Emily Elkin, currently serving in the U.S. Army as an instructor at Camp Dodge, middle photo.

A guitar and vocal performance by Dane Barner was followed by a flag folding ceremony demonstrated by American Legion veterans Bob Goretska, Ron Keigan, and Gene Williams.
