ALLEMAN — Jaxon Cherry showed off his form by sweeping the throwing events here Tuesday night at a meet the Comet Relays. The field included Ankeny, West Des Moines Dowling, Johnston and host North Polk, as Webster City scored nine Top-4 finishes overall. Cherry won the discus by over 11 feet with a throw of 145-11 and captured the shot put by over three feet with a best of 49-1.5. Webster City girls can’t stop Lions

The Webster City girls dropped a tough 2-0 decision here this past week to Clear Lake. HUMBOLDT — Isabel Grossoehme put together a perfect 800, capturing first place here Monday night at the Wildcat Relays. Grossoehme clocked a time of 2:33.3, finishing just a second ahead of runner-up Hannah Landwehr from St. Edmond.
