BOONE — The Webster City girls tennis team competed at the Boone Invitational here Friday, taking a pair of second-place finishes on the day. Sylvia Otteros went 2-1 at No. 2 singles to score silver, as did the doubles team of Allie Severe and Alivia Burns. The Webster City girls tennis team came up short here Monday against North Polk, falling 6-3. Alivia Burns, Gabbie Sebert and Sylvia Otteros all picked up wins for the Lynx in singles action, including super-tiebreaker victories for Sebert and Otteros. Burns downed Tessa Dillinger in straight sets at the No. 2 position, 6-3, 6-4.
