BOONE — The Webster City girls tennis team came up short of advancing anyone through to individual state at a Class 1A regional tournament here Wednesday. The doubles team of Allie Severe and Alivia Burns finished third, securing a possible state bid as a alternate. The Webster City football team looks to regain momentum with the start of district play on the horizon when they host sixth-rated (Class 4A) Gilbert for Homecoming here Friday night.
