Webster City doubles up as middle school XC champs
ALGONA — The Webster City Middle School cross country team swept titles recently at the North Central Conference meet. The Lynx boys had 53 points to edge Iowa Falls-Alden by two. The Webster City girls (43 points) topped Algona (51) for the championship. Elias Brown (12:21.40) placed fifth for the Lynx, with Kellen Walstrom (8th in 12:52.84) and Collin Wardell (9th in 13:01.47) also earning Top-10 finishes. The Webster City volleyball team closed out the regular season on Saturday at the Winterset Invitational, taking a match against Greene County in three games.
