GRIMES — The Webster City boys wrestling team was in action here Saturday at the Andy Davidson Mustang Invitational hosted by Dallas Center-Grimes. The Lynx finished seventh overall in the 11-team field, as the host Mustangs were first ahead of Johnston and Adel-ADM. Eli Estlund and Cody Elliott led the way for Webster City, as both finished second overall. Estlund was the 190-pound runner-up while Elliott scored silver at 215 pounds. AMES — The Webster City girls wrestling squad was in action here Saturday at a loaded Ames Invitational field. The 19-team event included winner Cedar Falls, host Ames, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Clear Lake, as the Lynx finished 16th overall. Liberty Gamble had the highest placing for Webster City, as she was fourth overall at 235 pounds. Joyful Ssubbi finished fifth at 90 and Kate Feltz was eighth at 140 after scoring a 59-second fall in the consolation rounds.
