ALGONA — Webster City’s Evie Davis had a strong night for the Lynx, but it wasn’t enough on Friday against Algona. The Bulldogs (5-2 overall) prevailed by a 51-26 count on their home court behind three players in double figures. Evie Davis had a monster double-double, recording 18 points with 18 rebounds, adding three blocked shots and a steal. AMES — The Webster City girls wrestling squad was in action here Saturday at a loaded Ames Invitational field. The 19-team event included winner Cedar Falls, host Ames, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Clear Lake, as the Lynx finished 16th overall.
