South Hamilton girls tripped up twice

The South Hamilton girls closed out last week with a tough 30-27 loss on the road to Nevada.

Tessa Skartvedt recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks (1-2 overall).

Skartvedt also blocked seven shots to dominate in the paint against the Cubs (2-1).

The night before, the Hawks fell at Iowa Falls-Alden, 53-31. Emma Lammers had eight points and three steals, while Skartvedt pulled down six rebounds.

The Cadets are now 1-2.

South Hamilton will finally play at home for the first time this season when they host Saydel on Tuesday followed by welcoming in Fort Dodge St. Edmond on Thursday. The Saydel tip is at 6 p.m., with the contest against the Gaels slated to start at 6:15 p.m.
