Nydegger also had foru rebounds while Tristyn Wright had three assists and three steals. Lovie Pruismann dished out three assists, as Webster City recorded 12 assists on 20 made field goals and sank five 3-pointers.

‘The girls really showed a hard-hat mentality going on the road and beating a good Humboldt team to open conference play,” WCHS head coach Marty McKinney said. “They executed the game plan at both ends very well. Offensively, we handled their press and were able to get some high percentage looks early in the game.

“We had a season-low 17 turnovers which led to many good looks and a season-high 62 points. Defensively, it was a great team effort against a Humboldt team that puts up a lot of points. Humboldt had to work for every point they got.”

The Lynx head to Rockwell City to face South Central Calhoun on Tuesday for a 6:15 p.m. tip-off. Webster City’s home opener is on Friday against Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 6 p.m.

Starting at $3.46/week.
