FOREST CITY — The Webster City volleyball squad wrapped up the Forest City Invitational here on Saturday with a victory over a conference rival.

After dropping matches to talented opponents in Lake Mills and Forest City, the Lynx (8-8 overall) defeated Clarion-Goldfield/Dows. Scores were 21-16 and 21-19.

Junior Tristyn Wright had six kills for Webster City in the win. Sophomore Jaylyn Bahrenfuss added five.

Junior Lovie Pruismann recorded 14 assists. Senior Morgan Hackbarth tallied 12 digs.

Senior Ashley Nydegger was perfect at the service line and had an ace.

Webster City fell to Lake Mills (14-2) by scores of 21-13 and 21-10. Sophomore Evie Davis finished with three kills. Pruismann had five assists.

Senior Hailey Brim and Hackbarth logged four digs each. Wright was perfect serving with an ace.

In a 23-21, 21-14 loss to Forest City (10-1), Bahrenfuss, Davis and Wright contributed five kills a piece. Pruismann dished out 16 assists.

Hackbarth chipped in 13 digs, and Nydegger led the way with three blocks.

Bahrenfuss was perfect on nine serve attempts.

The Lynx return to action on Tuesday at Hampton-Dumont/CAL. Varsity action begins at 7 p.m.

Webster City also hosts St. Edmond on Thursday this week at 7 p.m.
