MASON CITY — The Webster City cross country teams fared well at Mason City on Tuesday.

Mason City’s Henry Hansen (16:03) was the boys winner. Lakes Mills (45) took the team title.
For the Webster City girls, they had 165 points.
“It was a great meet,” WCHS head coach Derek Turner said. “Mason City is always one of our favorites due to its lack of hills and fast times, and this year didn’t disappoint.”
Gilbert’s Keira Andersen (19:05.7) was the champ. Mason City (32) edged the Tigers (33) for the title.
Izzy Grossoehme (21:33.4) grabbed the top finish for the Lynx in 11th. Mckenna Buakham (25:08.1) was 41st and Haedyn Soesbee (25:27.6) took 46th. Julia Griep (25:37.8) placed 48th.
“We had great performances by our team leaders in Izzy and Justin,” Turner said. “The middle of our lineup on both teams had strong outings as well.”
Webster City is back in action on Monday at Algona.
