Patricia “Pat” Ludwig
Patricia Rose Ludwig, age 91, of Webster City, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa, IA. Pat was born at home on April 11, 1934, in Batavia, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Hazel (Crowe) Garrett. On November 11, 1954, she was united in marriage to Clifford Ludwig Sr. in Fairfield.
For many years, Pat had in-home daycare, caring for children. Pat found joy in sewing, knitting, and crocheting, and she was happiest when she was baking or cooking something special to share with her family and friends. Pat was an avid Iowa State Women’s Basketball fan she held season tickets for 17 years.
Pat is survived by her son, Clifford Jr. (Julie); her daughters, Lorna (Brad) Fjelland, Peggy (Craig) Heemsbergen, Barbara (Dana) Linn and Karolee McBride; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister & 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff; her parents; a granddaughter, Heather Heemsbergen; 2 great-granddaughters, Madison Toftee, Paityn Duvall; 3 brothers & 1 sister.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Community Hall in Agency, Iowa. She will be laid to rest along with her husband at Bethlehem Cemetery near Floris, Iowa immediately following the celebration of life. Memorials donations may be made to the family, in memory of Pat.
