GOWRIE — The South Hamilton football team hits the road this week, taking on Southeast Valley here Friday night.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Hawks (0-2 overall) and Jaguars (1-1) are both coming off one-possession defeats, as South Hamilton fell at Panorama last week, 28-22.

Wyatt Gelder leads the Hawks with 241 yards rushing and four touchdowns, as Titus Herrick also has a rushing TD. Kaden Dean has 60 yards on the ground, Maddux Becker has 56 and Herrick 47.

Garrett Johnson has completed 4 of 5 passes for 88 yards, with two completions each going to Dean and Lyndon Johnson.

Southeast Valley, meanwhile, put together an impressive rally after falling behind big to No. 6 (Class 1A) Emmetsburg, but were denied, 34-27. Mason Bahr has 236 yards passing and 111 yards rushing with three total touchdowns, as Bryce Harrison has hauled in nine passes for 195 and two of those TDs.

Harrison is also the leading tackler with 13 stops.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the Bound-era.
