Eleven in a row for Lynx boys

The Webster City boys soccer team improved to 11-0 with another shutout victory.

The fourth-ranked Lynx knocked off Belmond-Klemme 5-0.

“I thought the boys played well,” said Webster City head coach Craig Signorin. “This was not the same team we previously played. Their coach has done a terrific job with them. Prior to the game we set a couple goals for one another and I thought we met each one throughout the game.

“We didn’t mention finishing our chances, because that is something we have done so well all season. Their goalie played outstanding and made some incredible saves, he was tough to beat, and we had multiple chances.”

Eduardo Perez had two goals. Conner Peck, Cristian Banda Bermudez and Francisco Carmona Ramirez had one goal each.

“And although he might not have wanted to, I gave JR the PK which he finished,” Signorin said. “He is our leader on that back line, and does not get enough praise for it. It was nice to get him in the goal scoring column.”

The Lynx finish the regular season this week. They open the week at Iowa Falls-Alden on Monday, host Humboldt on Thursday and travel to Fort Dodge on Friday.
