Hawks suffer first loss of year

NEVADA — The Nevada boys used a big fourth quarter to knock South Hamilton from the ranks of the unbeaten here Friday night, 67-52.

Nevada erased a two-point South Hamilton (7-1, 4-1) lead after the first by going on a 21-9 run in the second. The third, though, belonged to the Hawks, as they cut the deficit down by outscoring Nevada, 21-14.

The Hawks will play one final time before the calendar turns to 2024, hosting Monroe-PCM on Tuesday night.
