WEBSTER CITY — Sharing the second spot on the leaderboard was a good way to start the season for Webster City’s Ella Dinsdale and Ursula Leksell Tuesday afternoon at The Links.

The teammates took similar approaches to their matching rounds of 59, as they led WCHS to a team score of 252. Manson-Northwest Webster brought just two players to the course and was unable to generate a team score.

“Ella and Ursula played very well for their first meet,” WCHS head coach Catherine Schroeder said. “We’re looking forward to working hard to improve our scores.”

The Cougars’ Kate Schreier had the low round of the day with a 55.

Peyton Hilpipre added a 64 for the Lynx, while Katie Casady and Emma Bailey both shot rounds of 70.
