James Wendell Turner, 87, of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away peacefully at St. Lukes Hospice House, Kansas City, MO on March 19, 2024. He was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, May 16, 1936, son of G. Wendell Turner and Avonne Olson Turner. He grew up and attended schools in Champaign, IL, Ames, IA, and Webster City, IA, where he graduated in 1955. He served in the US Army 47th Infantry-9th Inf L.
