DALE LAURITSEN

Dale Lauritsen, 87, of Webster City died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Arlington Heights Cemetery in Audubon. The family has requested you wear Iowa Hawkeye attire to the services to support Dale’s love for the Hawkeyes. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Dale Herbert Lauritsen, son of Benjamin and Lena (Jorgesen) Lauritsen, was born August 15, 1934 on a farm near Exira, Iowa. He graduated from Exira School District and AIB in Des Moines. He served in the United States Army. On May 24, 1958 Dale was united in marriage to Donna Rae Carrick at St. Joseph’s Lutheran Church in Des Moines. He had worked as an accountant for Agriland FS in Harlan and Van Diest Supply Company, retiring in 2001.

He is survived by his sons, Terry (Kaye) Lauritsen of Phoenix, AZ, Gary (Angela) Lauritsen of Calhoun, GA, Dana Lauritsen of Webster City; four grandchildren; sister, Norma Pennel of Petersburg, WV and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna in 2017; brothers, Virgil, Edward, Emmert, Raymond and Earl Lauritsen.

Dale was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, loved to work in the garden and work on woodcarving designs.
