Webster City’s ‘Boom Night’ sets stage for Homecoming festivities

Tonight is Boom Night at the Webster City High School, leading into Friday’s homecoming activities.

Starting at 5:30 p.m. there will be a Homecoming Week supper at the west lobby of the High School. Supper will be a burger, chips, cookie and water.

Festivities begin at 7 p.m. at the Prem Sahai Auditorium, where the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced.

Candidates for Homecoming Queen are Alivia Burns, Hailey Brim, Ellie Peterson, Allie Severe and Ashlee Nydegger.

Homecoming King candidates are Eli Estlund, Dawson Bertran, Carter Mickelson, Aiden Hrnicek and Beau Nohrenberg.

Fall athletes will also be introduced during the evening, and the Lynx Cheerleaders will keep everyone entertained.

Festivities continue on Friday when the Homecoming parade starts at 2:30 p.m.

The route begins at Seneca Street near West Twin Park, turning left on Second Street bringing the parade through downtown, then turns back south on Des Moines Street finishing at the Webster City Middle School.

The Homecoming King and Queen and court will be recognized during halftime Friday night during the football game playing Gilbert.
