Tonight at Market Night: Rivals at the dunk tank
Wear your school colors tonight as the team spirit is the focus for the final market night of the season.
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., downtown Webster City will be a wave of color and fun.
Whether it is purple and gold, cardinal and gold, or black and gold, tonight is the night to show your support for your favorite teams and enjoy the final market night of the season.
One of the highlights of the night will be the Rivalry Night dunk tank, with Cyclones versus Hawkeyes versus Panthers.
The dunk tank will be stationed in the 700 block of Second Street in front of The Elks with help from Zach Chizek and the City of Webster City. Whether you’re team Iowa, Iowa State or University of Northern Iowa, proceeds from this dunk tank goes to the Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
The cost is just $1 per ball.
Food trucks situated around the streets include a new vendor, the Titanium Lunchbox. Others on hand will be Loudis with gyros, The Feedshack with barbeque, Quick and Fresh with sushi, crab rolls and egg rangoon, Taqueria El Paraiso with Mexican food, The Main Scoop, with ice cream, Kathryn’s Crazy Kettle Corn, Kona Ice and Tropical Sno.
Live music will be performed by Lee Klett in the Availa Bank Plaza, with McMurray Hatchery as stage sponsor.
This will be the final night to get $5 fresh produce vouchers through the Youth Produce Program, sponsored by Hamilton County Farm Bureau and Greg Littlejohn. The Market Night in a Box program will continue through the end of September with the weekly pickup at the Chamber office at 628 Second St. each Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Trevor Christensen of the Daily Freeman-Journal will also recognize the Webster City businesses that have helped support Market Nights at the Availa Bank Plaza.
American Sanitation has sponsored Market Nights all summer.
