Performance dates are July 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m., with matinees July 13 and July 19 at 2 p.m.
You’ll want to see this show take over the WCCT stage. The quirky musical blends rock ‘n’ roll, dark comedy, and sci-fi flair into a wildly entertaining tale of ambition, romance — and one very hungry plant.
Set on Skid Row, the story follows timid florist’s assistant Seymour Krelborn, whose discovery of a mysterious plant (with a rather unusual appetite) sets off a chain of events filled with fame, fortune, and moral mayhem. With a toe-tapping score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, Little Shop of Horrors serves up laughs, thrills, and a healthy dose of heart..
The cast includes KeVon Edwards as Seymour Krelborn; Amelia Oliver as Audrey; Sam Youngdale as Mr. Mushnik; Eric Heckert as Orin Scrivello, DDS; Karina Murray as Ronnette; Perla Torres as Crystal; Meg Cain as Chiffon; Katie Hildal as the Voice of Audrey II; and Thomas Barnett as the Audrey II Puppeteer.
Ensemble members include Jeanette Tempel, Jennifer Rank, Abby Heckert, Evangeline Streigle, Tim Berven and Don Zompa.
Members of the pit band are Eric Hanson, Josi Greenley, Kirk Greenley and Eric Greenley.
The production is under the direction of Anne Blankenship. Kerryn Oliver is the music director and Lindsay Henderson is the choreographer.
