The Hotel Motel Tax Board will meet this evening to review Round 28 grant applications.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of City Hall, 400 Second Street, Webster City.

It begins at 5:30 p.m.

The agenda will include a review of the most recent grant applications.

Also on the agenda is a request by SSMID (Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District) for an extension for its project that would install audio speakers in the 500, 600 and 700 blocks on Second Street.

The grant for which the extension is being sought is from Round 27 in the amount of $31,522.21.

This evening is the first round review to determine finalists.

Following the decisions made tonight, the board will send letters to finalists.

Those finalists will have an opportunity to make final presentations to the board on Wednesday, July 30. That meeting will also be held at City Hall. It will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The board will send its recommendations to the city in August.

Those recommendations are scheduled to be presented to the City Council of Webster City on Monday, August 18.
