Classic Car Night is back tonight at Market Night in downtown Webster City.

The fun rolls into town from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Classic Car owners are invited to bring their beloved vehicles down to the 700 block of Second Street (that’s just in front of the Daily Freeman-Journal). Car owners, you’re going to want to enter the block at the corner of Prospect and Second streets. All vehicles will receive a registration and car number to place in their front windshield for judging.

Classic cars of all decades are welcome.

This week, three trophies crafted by Mertz Engineering will be given out by the show sponsor, Karl Chevrolet. The trophies will be awarded just across from the American Legion Auxiliary tent at 7:20 p.m.

Visitors, you can vote for your favorite classic car at the American Legion Auxiliary tent, which will be in front of the post home, 726 Second Street. Here are the categories: Community Choice chosen by all community members; Classic Car Owner’s Choice chosen by participating car owners; Karl Chevrolet Choice chosen by Karl Auto team members; and One-in-a-Melon Classic Car Night Award given by Envision Stanhope.

Plus, country music artist Jesse Wilson will be live at the Availa Bank Plaza. His songs can be found on YouTube and Apple Music.

This week, the volunteer Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce booth will be manned by The Links Webster City. Founded in 1920 as the Webster City Outing Club, which eventually became the Webster City Country Club, Webster City Links Golf Course is a par 36, nine-hole public course that totals 3,047 yards from the blue tees alongside the Boone River. There are no required tee times and rental carts are available. The Links, located at 405 N. Des Moines Street, has a full bar in its clubhouse with a 170-person capacity that is a favored location for weddings, class reunions and other large get togethers. The golf course, bar and restaurant are open to the public seven days a week.

New vendors this week at Market Night are Garage Force by Dane Moreland — concrete coating solutions; Southern and Sharp Creation — handcrafted goods; and The Paint Station – custom paint on canvas.

Back by popular demand are family street games courtesy of Webster City Church of Christ; face painting by Legacy Learning Boone River Valley; and, by very popular demand: Balloon Cera. A freewill donation will get you the balloon animal of your choice.

And, there will be food galore.

Webster City Market Nights is sponsored by American Sanitation.

Starting at $3.46/week.
