Two young adults are airlifted to hospital after crash with moving train
WOOLSTOCK — Two young adults from Webster City were airlifted to a Des Moines hospital Saturday after their car collided with a moving train near Woolstock.
Haley Marie Hanus and Duwarn Richard Glover Jr., both 26, were seriously hurt in the collision with the train, according to an Iowa State Patrol accident report.
Hanus was driving a 2016 Toyota Prius eastbound on 330th Street, which is on the north edge of Woolstock. The Union Pacific railroad track crosses that street northwest of the town.
The accident happened around 6:40 p.m. Saturday.
The two were transported to MercyOne Des Moines by Mercy Air Med, the ISP report said.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and Woolstock, Eagle Grove and Webster City Fire and EMS.
