There will be no Daily Freeman-Journal on Wednesday, June 19, due to the postal holiday Juneteenth. This is because the DFJ is delivered through the postal system.

Juneteenth is a national holiday marking June 19, 1865. That is the date the slavery ended in the former Confederacy when Union troops arrived in Texas.

The DFJ will be back in your mailbox on Thursday, June 20.
