Fuller Hall has instituted its fall hours; open for cooling
The Fuller Hall Recreation Center in Webster City has officially begun its fall schedule of open hours, just in time for this week’s excessive heat forecast.
The fall hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The center is at 625 Bank St., Webster City.
The National Weather Service expects that high heat and humidity will make for dangerous conditions throughout the bulk of the week. Peak heat index values of around 105 to 115 degrees are forecast for the next several days. Today and Wednesday are expected to be the hottest.
Anticipated overnight lows in the 70s to near 80° will only provide marginal relief, according to the NWS.
Relief is expected by Friday, it said.
