Special school board meeting called for Friday

Board to examine current instructional delivery models

The Webster City Community School Board will meet in special session on Friday, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Due to the current pandemic, the meeting will be conducted via the Zoom teleconferencing platform and the public can take part in the meeting using the ID 825 3894 4566 and the password WCSB1113.

The board will review the current instructional delivery model delivery model in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, pre-k through 8th grade meet for in-person instruction, while the high school uses a hybrid model that involves students attending every other day in person and on the other days, use remote learning.

According to the school’s COVID-19 dashboard which is located on the district website, Hamilton County’s positivity rate as of Thursday afternoon was at 19.8 percent. The dashboard also shows that there are 14 students and 8 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19. There are also 151 students and 21 staff members who are quarantined as of Thursday.
