Applications are now being accepted for the Asbury Learning Center tutoring program.

Tutoring sessions will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade needing extra assistance in reading or math may qualify for the service.

The program is nondemoninational and offered at no cost to area families through an endowment fund.

Students meet every Tuesday, following the school calendar, with a qualified tutor for 35 minutes of instructional time. Usually, there is a 10 minute parent conference time. This year, the tutor will text or call instead.

For safety, masks and face shields will be used, drop off and pick ups will be at the door.

Applications are available at area schools and at Asbury Church office. Call the learning center at 832-5369.
