About 4,700 fresh peaches were given away free to local residents at Hy-Vee Tuesday morning. Cars lined up for blocks to wait their turn in line, The event was sponsored by Hy-Vee and produce supplier SunWest Fruit Company. The first 230 cars received a bag filled with about 20 peaches. Hy-Vee is donated fresh produce to customers as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact individuals and families across Iowa.
