Teams raise funds and walk for Relay of Life Wednesday in Stanhope

STANHOPE – Purple was the color of the evening at the Stanhope park on Wednesday as the Hamilton County Relay for Life was held on a perfect summer night. The event was well attended, and organizers were pleased at the support of folks from all around the county.

Linda Graham of Ellsworth, the Relay for Life Honorary Chairman, spoke to the crowd during the opening eeremony. The many cancer survivors present took the first lap of the evening.

The park was full of activity. In addition to Relay activities that included a silent auction, luminaries, a survivor walk, and walks around the block, there was music by The Gustafson’s of Ogden, food served by the Stanhope fire department, and T-ball games on the ball diamond.
