Joan Hopkins, a piano instructor for over 50 years, teamed up with piano student, Sylvia Otteros, as they performed Christmas songs for residents, families and staff at Southfield Wellness Community. Sylvia is 10 years old and a third-year piano student. Her younger sister, Ava, age 8, also performed and is a third-year student. Five-year piano student, Kamey Stanley, age 12, showcased her piano talents too. The Southfield baby grand piano is also a player piano, which means a variety of musical discs can be inserted to have any kind of music any time of day.
