Still time to register bell ringing team

Fundraising campaign to run through Dec. 23

The Webster City Ministerial Association continues to seek bell ringers for the 2018 Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign. If you have not yet organized a team to ring, now is the time to do so.

There are several open dates for your team to ring; to reserve a date contact Rev. Craig Blaufuss at 515 297 4316, or email revcraigblaufuss@wmtel.net.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to share in the holiday spirit of generosity and joy,” Blaufuss said.

Ninety percent of all donations to the Red Kettle Bell Ringing campaign in Webster City will remain local and will go to support ministries endorsed by the WCMA, such as the Webster City School Backpacks Against Hunger Fund, the Ecumenical Human Needs Fund, our local food pantries, All Cultures Equal, and others.

The WCMA has set a goal of $6,000 for the 2018 campaign, and to meet this goal they are inviting local groups, service organizations, businesses, and churches to organize teams of volunteers to ring. Hy-Vee and Fareway Food Stores in Webster City have agreed to be the host sites for the Bell Ringing campaign. The ministerail association hopes to recruit teams to ring on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Dec. 23. A team need not ring an entire day, but your team must cover a continuous block of time so that the kettle is not left unattended. Children are welcome to ring with adult.
