CLARION – Iowa Specialty Hospital’s 100th baby of 2018, Troy Terrance Collins, Jr., was born on April 2nd at 8:19 in the morning to parents, Tamara and Troy Collins Sr. of Webster City. Baby Troy weighed 8 pounds 7.5 ounces and was 20 inches in length. He will be welcomed home by big sisters, Jenavecia and Annalecia.
“Everyone is really nice, and we really like the hospital,” said Tamara Collins about their experience at Iowa Specialty Hospital.
“We were surprised to find out we had the 100th baby of the year,” Troy Collins said.
“I’m happy to have participated in the delivery of the Collins’ son. Having the 100th baby of the year will be an extra special memory for the family,” said provider, Dr. Dan Gabrielson.
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center is located at the Clarion Campus.
“We truly appreciate when a family chooses Iowa Specialty Hospital for the birth of their baby,” said Casey Howell, OB Leader. “It’s exciting to think their first memories as a family begin here.”
In 2017, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 353 babies which is the most ever delivered at the facility in one year. Howell says she would expect to surpass last year’s total in 2018.
