Brown to speak at Social Tilt event

Deb Brown, Executive Director at Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will be a keynote speaker in Brookings, SD for the Social Tilt Conference Sept. 30.

Chamber presidents, economic development employees, community builders and entrepreneurs will gather together to share ideas of how to build a vibrant community, what is called a startup community. Social Tilt is designed to teach participates how to learn the programs and blueprints they can use in their community to kick start innovation, connect passionate residents and build for the future.

“It’s my honor to represent our community and talk about the exciting things that have happened here in the last couple of years, both at Social Tilt and TedX,” said Brown.

The Social Tilt Conference is more than clusters, workforce development or 20 year plans. It is culture, collaboration and people who will save communities. When a community is loved, there is no limit to what is possible, no matter its size, location or history. It’s time for a Social Tilt. The conference is designed to send attendees home armed with four key takeaways that will immediately change the trajectory of their town. They will learn to:

Educate their city

Infuse the arts

Build on bright spots

Be radically inclusive
