Caldbeck to serve Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard

The Rev. Elaine Caldbeck, Ph.D., is serving the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Webster City.

The church shares Caldbeck with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Fort Dodge.

Caldbeck, a native Iowan, has worked as a forester, transportation research analyst, seminary librarian, a faculty member and a priest in various roles. She served as rector in the Church of the Ascension in Middletown, Ohio.

She has a bachelor of science degree from Iowa State Univesrity and a doctorate degree in religious and theological studies from Northwestern Universtiy.

Services at Good Shepherd are held Sundays at 11:15 a.m., execept for the second Saturday of the month when a 5 p.m. service is held with social activity following. On that weekend, there is no Sunday service.

Church officials said they are getting ready to start a few exterior upgrades on the 60-year-old building at 1100 Mary Lane. Renovations include steel siding, stone facing, energy efficient windows, more stained glass, a new sign and landscaping.
