Ascendant Wealth Management Group, an Ameriprise Financial private wealth advisory practice, is holding a food drive to benefit the Domestic and Sexual Assault Outreach Center

Non-perishable food items are being collected at the Ameriprise Financial office at 530 2nd St, Webster City through Nov. 15. Food will be donated to the D/SAOC at the conclusion of the drive.

“Ameriprise Financial is dedicated to supporting organizations, like D/SAOC, that are actively engaged in domestic hunger relief efforts,” said Cierra Walding. “I’m proud to play a role in supporting this worthwhile cause and thank my colleagues and the community for their support.”

Aligned with its giving priority of Meeting Basic Needs, Ameriprise Financial began a charitable partnership with Feeding America in 2009, which includes both financial and volunteer-based support for the nonprofit and other hunger relief organizations. The goal of the partnership is to help meet an increased demand on food banks and work toward finding long-term solutions to domestic hunger. Through the efforts of its advisors, employees, retirees and clients, the company has provided more than 23 million meals and 80,000 volunteer hours for hunger relief efforts across the U.S.

D/SAOC’s mission is to offer safety, support and hope to adult and child victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, violent crime and loved ones of homicide victims, because all people deserve a violence-free life and a compassionate community.
