Gerber Auto Care, located at 910 Seneca Street, Webster City, has been named an Approved Auto Repair (AAR) facility by AAA. Gerber Auto Care is the only repair shop in Hamilton County to currently have this designation among the 8,000 approved shops nationwide.

“We are very honored to receive this recognition,” said Doug Youngdale, owner of Gerber Auto Care. “It is very hard to receive this designation and we have worked very hard to provide our customers with the best service and expertise in the area.”

To qualify for the AAR designation, a repair facility must meet AAA’s strict criteria for technician certification and customer satisfaction. The shop must be certified in four categories of expertise: 1) engine performance; 2) minor engine repair; 3) brakes; and 4) electrical systems. In addition, the shop must employ Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified technicians and have an excellent performance record and a good community reputation.

“Now that we have received the recognition we have to continue to work hard to remain an approved facility,” said Youngdale. “This means continued training and certification of our Gerber Auto Care team and customer satisfaction, which is measured through our customer surveys.”

Gerber Auto Care is open for repairs Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
