Elizabeth and Chad Gubbels

Elizabeth (Liz) Anne Trepp of Liberty, Missouri, and Chad Andrew Gubbels, Ames, were married in an outdoor wedding ceremony at Prairie Moon Winery in Ames on June 11.

Parents of the couple are Dan Trepp and Kellee Shey, Webster City, and Jeff and Janice Gubbels, Council Bluffs.

The Rev. John McCreedie officiated the ceremony. Marty Trepp and Laura Oates, brother and sister of Dan Trepp, were the soloists.

Madeleine (Maddee) Trepp of Kansas City, Kansas, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor.

Dr. George Shey, grandfather of the bride from Webster City, was a special guest.

A reception was held at the Prairie Moon Winery. The couple took a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic. A rehearsal dinner was held at Aunt Maudes in Ames.

The bride is a graduate of Webster City High School and received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Iowa State University. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from ISU in May 2016. She is employed at Banfield Vet Hospital in Liberty, Missouri.

The groom graduated from high school in Council Bluffs and attended Des Moines Area Community College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University. He will graduate from the veterinary medicine college at ISU in May 2017.
