Sarah Beth Zimmer and Andrew Birkestrand, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota, were married Sept. 18 at the Lady of Lake excursion boat in Clear Lake. ?Andrea Bauer of West Des Moines officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Frank and Vicki Zimmer of Deloit, Iowa, and Ron and Kathy Birkestrand, Webster City.

The bride wore a white tea-length organza dress with a turquoise lace bolero jacket. She carried a bouqet of multicolor tulips.

Matron of honor was Jessie Knutson, Richfield, Minnesota, and Christy McFadden, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was the bridesmaid. Both are sisters of the bride. They wore violet-colored street-length dresses and carried multicolored tulips.

Joseph Birkestrand, brother of the groom from Ankeny, was the best man. David Birkestrand, brother of the groom from Huxley, was the groomsman.

A reception was held at the Clear Lake Art Center on Sept. 19. Ruth Koolhof, Webster City, grandmother of the groom, was a special guest at the reception.

The couple took wedding trips to Maui, Hawaii and Moab, Utah,

The bride is marketing manager for Genoa, a QoLHealth Care Company.

The groom is employed by Amazon and is a Masters of Fine Arts student in creative writing at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
