Tara Randall of Ames and Lee Carlson of Stratford are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Michelle and Thomas Randall of Ames; and Marilyn and Leland Carlson of Stratford.

An August 15 wedding is planned in Ames.

Randall is 2008 graduate of Ames High School, 2011 graduate of DMACC where she obtained her associates degree, and a 2012 graduate of Mercy School of EMS where she became certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. She is currently employed at Mary Greeley Medical Center business office in Ames.

Carlson is a 2003 graduate of Webster City High School, 2005 graduate from Iowa Central where he obtained his associates degree, he is a 2008 graduate of Mercy College of Health Sciences where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Nursing, he also is a 2013 graduate of Clarkson College where he obtained his Masters of Science in Nursing and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Carlson works full time as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Ackley Medical Center as well as the Hanson Family Hospital in Iowa falls.
