Alison Luree Hayes and Nathan James Johnston announce their engagement and approaching wedding. Parents of the couple are Sonja Hayes of Ames and the late David Hayes, and William and Colette Johnston of Stanhope.

Alison is a 2008 graduate of Webster City Community School and a 2012 Graduate of Iowa State University in Elementary Education. She is a third grade teacher at Sawyer Elementary School in Ames.

Nathan is a 2009 graduate of South Hamilton Community School and a 2013 Graduate of Iowa State University in ag. business. He has just accepted a position as an area team leader for Beck’s Hybrids.

The couple will be married Sept. 20 at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames.
