Local museums are open for the summer season

The Wilson Brewer Park Depot museum has begun its summer season, with the Depot open each Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. The depot, which is in the midst of exterior repairs and renovations, is known for the historic collections collected by many families of Webster City, in addition to the Frank Bonebright collections. The museum is located at 220 Ohio Street in Webster City. Lehigh Methodist Church will host its Annual Spring Supper

LEHIGH — The Annual Spring Supper and Bake Sale at the Lehigh Methodist Church will be held on Saturday, May 3, in the church basement. The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. On the menu are Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn or beans, salad, fresh-baked dinner rolls, pie and a drink. The cost is $13. Tickets for children under 10 are $7. Kids under 5 eat free. Carryouts are available by calling 515-359-2329. There will also be a Bake Sale at the same time.

Webster City Women’s Club will meet Monday

The Webster City Women’s Club will meet Monday, April 14, at the Jane Young House, 629 Elm Street, Webster City. This meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. Loween Getter will present a program: “First Ladies.” Any Hamilton County women are welcome to join in this event. The next open house and vintage clothing exhibit — “Let’s Go To The Movies” — will open on Saturday, April 26. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. While you’re at the Jane Young House, you are welcome to view the newly-remodeled kitchen.
