The 4th Annual Festival of Trees which kicks opens Friday December 5, is looking for organizations to decorate their own trees. Sponsored by the Webster City Women’s Club, the trees will be decorated and on display at the Jane Young House, located at 629 Elm Street. The festival is held in conjunction with “Christmas in the City.” This year’s theme, “Your Favorite Christmas Tree” allows you to embellish a tree with decorations special to you or your organization. Chamber seeking entries for Lighted Christmas parade

Christmas in the City, sponsored by the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will be on December 6. Businesses, nonprofits and organizations are encouraged to add to the event, by creating a float, decorating vehicles, and light it up to shine in the Karl Lighted Parade. Rotary Leadership Banquet is Sunday night

The 77th Annual Rotary Leadership Banquet will be held Sunday, November 16th at the Briggs Woods Conference Center. Twenty-four students from Hamilton County will be honored at this year’s banquet. The keynote speaker is Dr. Celina Peerman.

American Legion Post 191 hosts card night

The American Legion will host their card night on Monday night. This will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 726 Second St., Webster City. This is a come and go format, with a variety of games in play, ranging from euchre, cribbage or hand-n-foot.

Rustic Daisy Ribbon Cutting to be held Wednesday

The Rustic Daisy will hold their ribbon cutting for this new business in downtown Webster City on Nov. 12. The ribbon cutting will be at noon, located at 605 Second St. The Rustic Daisy carries Iowa goods, soy candles, and many gift items for the home. The ribbon cutting is hosted by the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce.
