Legacy Learning offers two different activities today

Today, Legacy Learning will offer two different events at their studio at 719 Seneca St. Coffee and Create will begin at 9:30 a.m. in addition to a 6 p.m. craft when they create door decorations for Valentine’s Day. The morning Coffee and Create drop-in is held Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This drop-in event is free, but a freewill donation is encouraged to cover the cost of coffee and materials. The Valentine’s Day Door Decor workshop will also be held at 719 Seneca St. today. Fair Fundraiser to be held this Saturday

The Hamilton County Fairgrounds Expo will have its annual fundraiser on Saturday. The fairgrounds are located at 1200 Bluff St. The fundraiser will be held in the show arena. This is the sixth year for the annual fundraiser which covers the cost of judges for the Hamilton County Fair. Dinner, a silent and live auction and music by Spencer Suchan are sponsored by the City of Webster City, Neighborhood Realty and the Hamilton County Pork Producers. Winterfest king and queen to be announced today

The Webster City High School Winterfest Court will learn this afternoon who will be named king and queen for 2026. A special assembly will be held at 2:15 p.m. in the Prem Sahai auditorium for the official coronation. The queen’s court includes Jakaela Cherry, Kate Feltz, Kaylee Kohl, Heidi Mendoza and Addelyn Pruismann. The king’s court includes Jack Barner, Justin Callahan, Bralon Dyvig, Jaxon Griffith and Cole Nohrenberg.

River Valley Veterans Network will be hosting a veteran networking event on Feb. 5. This will be held at the Webster City Links Golf Course at 405 Des Moines St. in Webster City from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The River Valley Veterans Network is an organization for those who have served in the military to build on their experiences, community and business engagement. Congregate Meals served today and Thursday

The congregate meal menu for today will be as follows: Swedish meatballs over egg noodles or mashed potatoes, whole wheat roll, a vegetable and fruit. On Thursday the meal will be tacos with refried beans and fruit. All congregate meals are subject to change, determined by food supply and demand. For reservations for meals, call 515-832-6161. Meals can be picked up and carried home or eaten with the congregate meals group located at 604 Prospect St.

Veterans Affairs coffee and doughnuts today at courthouse

The Hamilton County Veterans Affairs will host a coffee today starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse in the lower level. The program this month will be about Walkasins. Walkasins is a sensory prosthesis designed for patients with peripheral neuropathy who struggle with gait and balance. All veterans are invited to attend.
