Webster City High School Choirs invite the community to step into the spotlight for “Variety Show 2026: A Night At The Movies” on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27–28, at 7 pm in the Prem Sahai Auditorium. Tickets are $8, $5 with students. Activity passes accepted. Cash or check preferred, with general admission seating, first come, first served. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.
The 24th annual Chili Supper will be held Saturday for the Hamilton County Speedway Association. The event will include hot laps at 5 p.m., the supper at 6 p.m., and auction at 7 p.m. The $10 admission includes the supper, voting rights and a $5 raffle ticket. Kids 12 and under eat free. This is a BYOB event. The auction will be of sports racing memorabilia. Funds raised during the evening will be used to continue the organization and help with improvements at the Hamilton County speedway.
The Kendall Young Library is postponing the public screening of the movie, “Free for All: The Public Library.” This was scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room. This postponement is due to technical issues and we have not determined a new showing date, but will make that information available as soon as possible.
The Hamilton County Cattlemen Association will host the 2026 annual banquet on March, 9 in the show arena of the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. for the social, 6 p.m. for dinner, with an auction to follow. The Fairgrounds are located at 1800 Bluff St. in Webster City. The cost of dinner is $30 per person.
