A Horticulture Judging Workshop is being offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 15 at the Northern Research Farm, 310 S. Main St., in Kanawha. Individuals seeking experience judging horticulture entries, such as vegetables, cut flowers, and house plants, are invited to attend. The workshop is designed to provide comprehensive training in evaluating horticulture exhibits at county and state fairs. ‘The Addams Family’ opens Friday night

The Webster City High School production of “The Addams Family” opens at 7 p.m. Friday at the Prem Sahai Auditorium. The Webster City High School is located at 1001 Lynx Ave. Entry to the Prem Sahai Auditorium can be made through the north or west doors of the high school building. This musical comedy begins at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The cost of the tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students. Activity passes are accepted.

The Kendall Young Library are offering the following adult programs throughout the month of April. Women’s Self Defense Workshop: Kendall Young Library, in conjunction with the Webster City Police Department, will be hosting a Women’s Self-Defense Workshop on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. This event is open to ages 13 and up, is free and does not require registration.
